How Do I Set Up the OneSync Wi-Fi Smart Bridge to Control My Landscape Lights?

The OneSync Wi-Fi Smart Bridge (SYNC/WIFI) transforms your OneSync outdoor landscape lights into a fully connected smart lighting system. Once paired to your home Wi-Fi, you can control your lights from anywhere using the Feit Electric app to create groups, set schedules, choose from millions of colors, and build lighting scenes for any occasion. The bridge also enables hands-free voice control through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Follow the steps below to get started.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following ready before starting setup:

• A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and your Wi-Fi password (the SYNC/WIFI does not support 5 GHz)
• A smartphone or tablet running iOS or Android
• The Feit Electric app — download it free from the App Store or Google Play
• A Feit Electric account (create one in the app if you don't already have one)
• At least one OneSync landscape light already installed and powered on outdoors

Installation

Step 1: Choose a location for your Smart Bridge. Pick a spot near your Wi-Fi router and within 100 feet of your OneSync outdoor lighting ecosystem. The bridge can be plugged into any standard indoor outlet. If installing outdoors, use an outdoor-rated outlet with a weatherproof cover.

Step 2: Plug in the Smart Bridge. Insert the SYNC/WIFI into the outlet. The indicator light will illuminate to confirm it has power.

Step 3: Put the Smart Bridge into pairing mode. Press the pairing button on the bridge three times until the indicator light begins blinking rapidly. This signals that the bridge is ready to connect.

Step 4: Open the Feit Electric app and add the bridge. Tap the "+" icon or "Go to Add" in the top right corner of the app. Select "Add Device," enter your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network name and password, then tap Next. Once the bridge is successfully found and connected, tap Next again. If you'd like to set up voice control, tap "Use Alexa and Google Assistant." Otherwise, tap Done.

Step 5: Add your OneSync lights to the bridge. Put each outdoor OneSync light into pairing mode by holding down the button on the light until it blinks slowly. In the Feit Electric app, select the group you want to add the light to, then tap "Add Fixture." Repeat this step for each light you want to pair.

Step 6: Organize your lights into groups. Use the app to create groups by zone. For example, Front Yard, Backyard, or Pathway. Grouping lights lets you control multiple fixtures at once, set shared schedules, and apply scenes across a zone with a single tap.

Step 7: Customize your lights from the app. Once your lights are paired and grouped, use the Feit Electric app to adjust brightness and color, create lighting scenes, set automatic schedules based on time or sunset/sunrise, and control everything remotely from anywhere.

Setting Up Voice Control (Optional)

The OneSync Smart Bridge works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for hands-free control.

• Amazon Alexa: Open the Alexa app → Skills & Games → Search for "Feit Electric" → Enable Skill → Discover Devices.
• Google Assistant: Open the Google Home app → Add → Set up device → Works with Google → Search for "Feit Electric" → Sign in to link your account.

Once linked, you can use voice commands like "Alexa, turn on the backyard lights" or "Hey Google, set the pathway lights to blue."

Usage & Tips:

• Pairing your lights with the Wi-Fi Bridge? We recommend carrying out the pairing procedure at night or turning the light fixture over so the solar panels face the ground and are out of direct sunlight. This ensures the light stays in pairing mode long enough to complete the process.
• Place the Smart Bridge within 100 feet of your nearest OneSync device. Each additional OneSync device within 100 feet of another already-paired device extends the network, so your system can expand as far as your outdoor space requires.
• Keep the bridge away from microwaves, large appliances, and thick concrete or metal walls, as these can weaken the Wi-Fi signal and reduce the range to your outdoor lights.
• To remove a light from a group, select the group in the app, put the light into pairing mode, and tap "Remove Fixture." You can then follow the pairing steps to re-add it to a different group.
• Change the color of your lights by group or add dynamic effects, all from the Feit Electric app. You can also set a schedule so your lights turn on and off automatically every day.
• The Smart Bridge must remain plugged in at all times to maintain control of your lighting system. If the bridge loses power, your lights will go offline in the app until it is restored.
• After initial setup, you can control your lights remotely from anywhere as long as the bridge is connected to Wi-Fi and your phone has an active internet connection.
