Why isn't the chime box chiming after the doorbell install?
How old is the home and how long has the chime box been in place? Old, outdated mechanical chimes may face compatibility issues with modern smart Wi-Fi products due to their limited functionality and lack of integration with advanced technologies. Traditional mechanical chimes operate using simple mechanical mechanisms and are not equipped to work with newer devices requiring a higher draw of power.
Note: If you find your chime box is not working with the Doorbell, you may need to replace your transformer. The Doorbell can use up to 6 watts. We recommend using a 12-24VAC 10VA transformer for a single doorbell application. For two doorbells, it's recommend to use a 20-30VA transformer.
