How Do I Install the OneSync Under Cabinet Tape Light?

NOTE: The Feit Electric OneSync Under Cabinet Tape Light can be plugged in or hardwired with a separately sold hardwire converter.

Get Ready For Installation

Before getting started you'll need:

1. Your OneSync Under Cabinet Tape Light and all its components
2. Philips head (+) screwdriver, pencil, scissors

OneSync Under Cabinet Tape Light Installation

1. Position the fixture

Locate the desired position and mark clearly using the mounting template provided.

2. Install the Mounting Screws

Screw in the mounting screws (DD) on your marked locations.  Be sure your tape light is aligned in the desired location.

3. Install the controller 

Align the holes on the back of the controller (AA) to the heads of the mounting screws (DD). Slide your controller towards the mounting slot. If your controller is NOT snug, remove it and readjust the screws. 

4. Cut the tape light to your desired length

Ensure the power supply is NOT plugged in at the wall outlet before cutting your tape light. Be sure to ONLY cut at the 3 dots marked on the tape light. Otherwise, your tape light will be permanently damaged. If you need to rejoin your tape light, please follow the steps under "Additional Information" at the end of this article.

5. Mount your tape light

 Before mounting your tape light, be sure you clean the surface area thoroughly or the tape light will not stick. Expose the adhesive by removing the adhesive backing paper, then position your tape light (AA) to your desired position. Avoid removing and reapplying your tape light multiple times or the adhesive will wear off.

6. Connect to power supply

Plugin the power cord to the fixture. You can connect the plug-in cord to either side of the fixture (AA). 

7. Connect to power

Connect the electrical plug (BB) to a power outlet on the wall.

8. Connect the linking cable.

You can connect the controller to other OneSync products using the linking cable provided (CC). The linking cable can be connected to either side of the controller (AA).
