Connecting your Feit Electric Smart Sensor using the Feit Electric app is a simple process that can be accomplished through multiple convenient methods. This article will guide you through each method to ensure a successful connection.
Before you can connect the Smart Sensor you should first install it. Please watch one of the videos below depending on which product you have.

Once you have successfully mounted your Smart Sensor bracket, open the battery sensor and insert the battery. Turn the Smart Sensor on by using the reset button. If the LED indicator light is flashing, you are ready to connect to the Feit app using one of two methods:
Getting Ready to Connect
1) Download and register your account in the Feit Electric app.
- If this is your first time setting up a Feit Electric smart device, download the Feit Electric app from the Google Play or the Apple App Store (if you haven't done so already) and log in, or register to create an account.

2) Allow notifications.
3) Allow access to your location.
EZ Mode - Use this method to pair your Smart Sensor to the Feit Electric App
1) Open your Feit Electric App and choose the location of your smart sensor
- Choose location and then, tap and device OR the + sign in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Then, select your device type by tapping Controls and Sensors. then select your sensor.
2) Enter your Wi-Fi's network name and password. Be sure to double check that you are connected to a 2.4GHz network.

3) Make sure EZ Mode is selected in the top right hand corner of the app screen and that the indicator light is flashing on your sensor indicating it's in pairing mode.
Tip: If the sensor is not blinking, press and hold down the Reset button on the sensor until the LED indicator light is rapidly blinking. Tap View Help in your Feit App for more detailed instructions.
4) When the connection is successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation screen. Press done to complete the connection process.

AP Code - Use this method to pair your Smart Sensor to the Feit Electric App
Did you know that your smart sensor emits its own Wi-Fi signal that you can connect too? This is called AP mode, and you can connect your Smart Device to the Feit App this way as well! Press and hold the reset button until the LED indicator light is rapidly blinking, then, press and hold the reset button AGAIN until the light is slowly blinking. Put the lid back on your Smart Sensor and attach it to the bracket.

1) Open your Feit Electric App and choose the location of your smart sensor
- Choose location and then, tap and device OR the + sign in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Then, select your device type by tapping Controls and Sensors. then select your sensor.
2) Enter your Wi-Fi network username and password.

In the Add Device menu, select AP Mode by tapping EZ Mode in the top right corner to open the drop down menu. Tap confirm, then next.

3) A new screen to connect your mobile device to the hotspot will appear, tap go connect.

Your phone will then redirect you to its Wi-Fi settings, choose the network name that starts with “smart life.” Then, return to the Feit App.
Tip: Tap View Help in your Feit App for more detailed instructions.
4) Once you are in the Feit app, the connection progress wheel will initiate.
- Wait for the progress wheel to reach 100% and for the confirmation screen. Tap done when finished.
