Connecting your Feit Electric Smart Wi-Fi device using the Feit Electric app is a simple process that can be accomplished through multiple convenient methods.
This article will guide you through each method to ensure a successful connection.
Getting Ready to Connect
1) Download and register your account in the Feit Electric app.
- If this is your first time setting up a Feit Electric smart device, download the Feit Electric app from the Google Play or the Apple App Store (if you haven't done so already) and log in, or register to create an account.

2) Allow notifications.
3) Allow access to your location.
4) Plug your device into a covered outlet. And be sure it is in pairing mode.
To start, with your Smart Wi-Fi Yard Stake Plugged in, begin the connection process by holding down the power button until the blue LED indicator light starts rapidly flashing, then, open your Feit Electric App to start connecting.
5) Go to your Wi-Fi settings and connect your phone to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.

Open your Feit Electric app to start the connection process. Now you are ready to start the app connection process.
Three Ways to Link Your Device |
Simple Pairing Bluetooth Mode: the fastest and easiest way to set up one device at a time
Watch this video or follow the steps below to connect to the app.
1) Open your Feit Electric app and confirm that your Bluetooth is on.
2) Tap Add your Device or the plus icon (+) in the upper right corner.
- Make sure the indicator light on the plug is blinking rapidly, then tap Add Device or the plus icon (+) in the top right corner.
3) Choose your device from the pop-up window.
4) Choose your device from the list and tap the plus icon (+).
- Make sure the indicator light on the plug is blinking rapidly. If the indicator light on your plug is not blinking rapidly, hold the power button down until it starts blinking rapidly indicating it is ready to pair.
5) Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
- After you confirm that you are on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, enter your Wi-Fi network's name and password, then tap Confirm.
Note: Be sure to double-check that you are connected to a 2.4GHz network. |
6) Finish connecting.
- The status window will appear and show progress towards set-up.
7) Device added successfully.
- If you successfully connected the device you will get a screen saying Device added successfully.
- If you want to configure your device to work with Alexa or Google Assistant, tap Use Alexa and Google Assistant and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device further.
- You can also rename the device by tapping the pen icon.
EZ Mode - Use this method to pair multiple plugs at once or if you have problems using Bluetooth Mode
Watch this video or follow the steps below to connect to the app.
1) Open your Feit Electric App.
- From the Feit Electric app's home screen, tap Add Device or the plus icon (+) in the top right .
2) Manually add your device.
- Tap Plugs in the left panel, then, tap your device to continue.
3) Select EZ Mode.
- Open the drop-down menu in the top right corner of your Feit Electric app, then select EZ Mode. Tap Confirm and then Next to continue.
4) Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
- Enter your Wi-Fi network's name and password, then tap Confirm.
Be sure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
5) Finish connecting.
- Once you have successfully connected to a 2.4GHz network, the connection process will automatically begin. Wait for the wheel to reach 100% and for the confirmation screen to appear.
- If you want to configure your device to work with Alexa or Google Assistant, tap Use Alexa and Google Assistant and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device further. If not, tap Done to complete the setup process and to start using your smart device.
AP Mode - is an alternate connection method if Bluetooth or EZ Mode is not successful
Follow the steps below or watch this quick video for assistance.
1) Open your Feit Electric App.
- From the Feit Electric app's home screen, tap Add Device or the plus icon (+) in the top right corner of your screen.
2) Manually add your device.
- Tap Plugs in the left panel, then, tap your device to continue.
3) Select AP Mode.
- Open the drop-down menu at the top right corner of your app. Then select AP Mode. Tap Confirm then Next to continue.
4) Make sure that your smart device is SLOWLY flashing.

Next, hold down the power button on the top of your Smart Wi-Fi Yard Stake or Plug until the blue LED indicator light is rapidly flashing, hold down the power button AGAIN until the light is slowly flashing. Then, tap Confirm, and then Next to continue.
5) Connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
- Enter your Wi-Fi network's name and password, then tap Confirm.
Be sure you are connecting to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
5) Connect to your smart plug's Wi-Fi.
- A new screen to connect your mobile device to the hotspot will appear, tap Go Connect. Your phone will redirect you to its Wi-Fi settings.
- Then, choose the network name that starts with "SmartLife" and then return to the Feit Electric app.
6) Finish connecting.
- Once you have successfully connected to the hot spot, the connection process will automatically begin. Wait for the wheel to reach 100% and for the confirmation screen to appear.
The Feit Electric Smart Indoor Plug does not control other smart devices. When using your Smart Indoor Plug, be sure your devices are turned on.
