If you see that some of your lights are lit but others are not it could be because the lamp (bulb) is not making contact with the lamp holder's center tab.
Here are potential ways to fix this:
- Screw the lamp (bulb) tighter into the socket. Do not overtighten.
- Turn the string light off at the electrical panel. Unscrew the bulbs. Look inside the socket. Lift up the center tab in the socket lamp holder so it makes better contact with the lamp.
Note: This picture shows inside the socket where the center tab is. You may need to lift it up so it makes better contact with the lamp or bulb so it likes up successfully. |
